What made them unique and unforgettable events?
- People: 40 students and 4 academic teachers from two partner universities: the University of Silesia in Katowice and Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas
- A few details: a research boat packed with sensors, a portable weather station, an incubator with ecotoxicological tests, and a mini station for measuring water quality
- At hand: a pumped-storage hydroelectric power plant, wildlife, and an L-shaped glacial lake
What were they:
- place where students and teachers were partners in research and companions in adventure
What will we remember?
- what are the faces and dimensions of water
- why is land also important
What’s next?:
- conference presentations and posters presenting the results of bathymetric, hydrological, physicochemical, and toxicological research conducted by interdisciplinary, international student teams.
Perhaps also…?
- career decisions
Anything else?
Sure: sightseeing, hiking, campfires, bike rides, kayaks (not for measuring), mountains, landscapes, and finally, the regret of having to go back…
