Tourism is a degree programme tailored for travelling aficionados, people open for adventures, exploring the country and the world who are the future experts in planning individual and group holidays and tourism management. The curriculum guarantees to learn the theoretical foundations of tourism, modern skills in researching tourism management, directions and trends of the contemporary diversity of the tourism market (various forms of tourism, including extreme ones) in the context of natural and cultural conditions (environmental potential, globalisation, sustainable development, transformation of landscapes). It covers issues in skills and strategies of customer service (ICT), rules of marketing, labour market, sociological and economical basics of tourism and legal aspects. Additionally, students are able to improve their technical and practical skills in: developing thematic inventories and tourism valorisation, mapping and imaging (visualising) tourist attractions and assets, and developing maps using GIS techniques). The curriculum is complemented with courses aimed at discovering the tourist potential of different world regions and the degree and quality of tourist development. These practical studies are brimming with internships in tourism companies and field classes that put the skills in leading tours and preparing tourist offers to the test. The degree programme cooperates with numerous economic entities and regional administration institutions. The offered field classes and internships are an important form of cooperation with the economy and prepare students to enter the labour market seamlessly. The education takes place in the form of 2nd cycle studies.

Graduates in Tourism may find employment in travel agencies, tourism marketing agencies, tour operators, accommodation facilities, culture and science agencies, museums, and national and regional tourism organisations. They may be employed as guides in tourism facilities/areas and tour leaders on domestic and foreign trips. They are experts for tourism in offices of all levels, e.g. in the departments of strategy and development and in the departments of tourism. Graduates are also prepared to operate their own companies and enterprises offering tourism services.
