Jestem absolwentką Instytutu Filologii Angielskiej na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim, literaturoznawczynią i przekładoznawczynią. Doktorat zatytułowany: Joseph Conrad – spory o biografię  (Katowice 2003) obroniłam na Uniwersytecie Śląskim. Podstawą habilitacji była monografia z zakresu przekładoznawstwa pt. Seria w przekładzie (Katowice 2013). Kierowałam zespołem badawczym „Theatrum”. Od 2024 r. jestem prezesem Polskiego Towarzystwa Conradowskiego (UJ, Kraków). Jestem członkiem rad naukowych czasopism „Conradiana”  (USA), „Yearbook of Conrad Studies” (Poland) i „The Conradian” (UK). W ramach pracy dydaktycznej zajmuję się przede wszystkim nauczaniem teorii, krytyki oraz praktyki przekładu. Moje zainteresowania badawcze obejmują powieść i dramat brytyjski oraz kulturę wizualną i adaptacje.

Agnieszka Adamowicz-Pośpiech graduated from the Institute of English Philology at the Jagiellonian University. She received her PhD from the University of Silesia (Joseph Conrad – spory o biografię, Katowice 2003. She became the assistant professor on the basis of the monograph on Translation Studies (Seria w przekładzie, Katowice 2013). She was the head of the research group „Theatrum”. Since 2024 she has been the President of the Joseph Conrad Society Poland (UJ, Kraków). She is a member of such journal editorial boards as „Conradiana” (USA), „Yearbook of Conrad Studies” (Poland) and „The Conradian” (UK). She teaches Translation Studies. Her research interests encompass British novels, drama, and visual culture (adaptation and comics studies).
