Weronika Tofilska, Polish director and graduate of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia in Katowice, was nominated for the prestigious Emmy Award for her work on the series Baby Reindeer. She directed four of the seven episodes of this production. The series is available on Netflix.
Baby Reindeer is based on the true story of Richard Gadd, who struggles with harassment and stalking by a person who became his obsession. The production was appreciated for its emotional approach to difficult topics, as well as for its authenticity and engaging narrative.
The Emmy Awards gala will take place on 21 September 2024 in Los Angeles.
