As a result of the call for proposals announced by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), the School of Polish Language and Culture has received accreditation for the implementation of Polish language courses for the years 2021-2023. Therefore, the School of Polish Language and Culture is among the 12 Polish universities that have received accreditation. Moreover, it is the only centre that has been authorised to carry out all forms of activity: remote and traditional summer school courses, a preparatory course to undertake studies in Polish, and a methodology course for foreign teachers.
For over 30 years, the School of Polish Language and Culture has been educating foreigners in Poland and abroad, carrying out qualifying postgraduate studies in Polish culture and teaching Polish as a foreign language, organising seminars and conferences on Polish language and culture, teaching Polish as a foreign language, and translations. It is also a centre authorised to carry out State Certificate Examinations in Polish as a Foreign Language for all levels.
This year’s Polish language course carried out by the School of Polish Language and Culture is attended by over 50 NAWA scholarship holders (the Banach Scholarship Programme and the Lukasiewicz Scholarship Programme) from, e.g., Nigeria, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Palestine, Yemen, Pakistan, Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.
