The CWTS Leiden Ranking Open Edition 2024 has just been published. CWTS Leiden Ranking Open Edition allows users to create rankings based on the selected criterion. By default, the criterion is the number of publications from 2019 to 2022 (impact P indicator).
Based on these parameters, the University of Silesia in Katowice was ranked 3rd in the region in the latest edition of the ranking, behind only the Silesian University of Technology and the Medical University of Silesia.
In the field rankings, we have moved up in the Social Sciences and Humanities category – from 12th to 10th place. In Life and Earth Sciences, we maintained our 11th position and remained the leader in our region.
The CWTS Leiden Ranking Open Edition is based on open data from OpenAlex and offers full transparency in assessing the scientific performance of more than 1,500 leading universities from around the world.
