Paweł Jędrzejko, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor, from the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Silesia in Katowice was appointed the president of the International American Studies Association.
The aim of the society is to support the international exchange of ideas and information between scholars who represent all nationalities and disciplines; they research and impart knowledge about the Americas. Moreover, the society provides space for interdisciplinary dialogue on American cultures and societies, thus promoting the international exchange of teachers, scientists and students, and generating debates, publications and conferences.
