Mariola Paruzel-Czachura, PhD, Assoc Prof. nominated for USERN Prize 2024

Mariola Paruzel-Czachura, PhD, Associate Professor from the Institute of Psychology of the University of Silesia in Katowice was nominated, among 10 other scientists in social sciences, for the USERN Prize 2024 from a total of 90,000 candidates from all over the world. The USERN Prize is regarded as an extraordinary distinction in the scientific community.

At this stage, aside from the decision of the award committee, audience votes also matter a great deal. You can cast your vote free of charge via the form. Voting is open until 7 October.

You can read the profiles of all candidates on the USERN website. The key achievement of Mariola Paruzel-Czachura relates to research on the influence of alcohol on moral decision-making.

The USERN Prize is an annual international award established by the USERN Congress. It is awarded to young scientists and researchers under the age of 40 for their innovative achievements in science education and research in the service of humanity in five fields: formal sciences, physical and chemical sciences, biological sciences, medical sciences, and social sciences. The awards will be presented on 10 November on World Science Day for Peace and Development.
