Tomasz Słupik, PhD, (Faculty of Social Sciences) has been appointed to the Council for Equal Treatment at the Ministry of National Education.
Council members will analyse the situation of different groups within the education system and of the institutions operating in it in terms of equal treatment; identify areas that require action in the field of equality policies and anti-discrimination measures in education and upbringing; and provide opinions on documents concerning the Minister’s activities related to equal treatment.
Slupik’s research is concerned with the history of ideas with an emphasis on the socio-political thought of the 19th and 20th centuries. His research interests also include the history, culture and national-ethnic relations of Upper Silesia.
