From 21 to 25 November 2022, the Scientific Information Centre and Academic Library (CINiBA) will hold Academic Book Week. The event aims to encourage non-specialist readers to read academic books.
During several days of meetings, participants will be able to take part in panel discussions open to the general public. The event will also include interdisciplinary debates with speakers from various disciplines. Topics to be discussed include, among others, the prospects of modern education and issues of violence and intolerance.
There will be a press briefing on Academic Book Week on 21 November at 11 a.m. in the CINiBA conference room.
On Tuesday 22 November at 10 a.m., a masterclass entitled ‘Mea culpa. Co wynika z pisania’ [Mea culpa. What comes out of writing] will be delivered by Professor Tadeusz Sławek, PhD, from the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Silesia.
Academic Book Week is organised jointly by the CINiBA and the University of Silesia Press.
The event is held as part of the 10th anniversary of the Scientific Information Centre and Academic Library. Details concerning the programme can be found on the CINiBA website.
