This year the Scientific Information Centre and Academic Library (CINiBA) celebrates its 10th anniversary. On this occasion, on 29 September 2022, an interdisciplinary debate, “Library of the future”, will take place. Various experts and representatives of many different fields of science and art will take part in the debate.
The event starts with a press briefing at 10.40 a.m. in the main hall of CINiBA. The debate will be attended by representatives of the University of Silesia: Prof. Ryszard Koziołek, Rector of the University, Prof. Tadeusz Sławek, Piotr Bogalecki, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor, and Aneta Borowik, PhD, Associate Professor from the Faculty of Humanities, as well as Krzysztof Łęcki, PhD, DLitt, Associate Professor from the Faculty of Social Sciences.
CINiBA has become a part of Katowice’s space as an inseparable element of the city. It serves as a research library of two universities: University of Silesia in Katowice and University of Economics. It was handed over to readers in 2012. Over the past decade, efforts were made to make it a centre of knowledge, culture and science. The jubilee is a summary of the last ten years and the drawing of conclusions from the activities carried out so far.
