On Saturday, 25 May 2024 at 5 p.m. there will be a gala concert to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Song and Dance Ensemble “Katowice” on the Main Stage of the Stanisław Wyspiański Silesian Theatre in Katowice.
The event will be a journey through dances and songs of various regions of Poland, and the performers will be members of the Student Song and Dance Ensemble “Katowice” of the University of Silesia. The group and its pupils will present a programme encapsulating the group’s 55-year artistic achievements. During the concert, a new suite of Silesian dances prepared on the occasion of the Ensemble’s 55th anniversary will have its premiere.
The concert will be hosted by students of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia: Lidia Le Thanh and Maciej Idczak.
Those who would like to participate in the concert are asked to book tickets by writing an email to: askwiatkowska@gsuite.us.edu.pl or aleksandra.kwiatkowska@us.edu.pl between 1 and 17 May. The ticket price is PLN 40. Due to the limited number of seats, participation in the event is determined by the order of sign-ups. One person can purchase up to 4 tickets.
