The meeting of the Conference of Rectors of Polish Universities (KRUP) takes place from 3 to 5 November. This year’s event is organised by the University of Silesia. The aim of the meeting is to strengthen cooperation among universities so that they can meet the challenges of the present and the future.
Among the subjects of the meetings are the summary of the research units evaluation, as well as the financial situation of the universities. The proceedings are held at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Silesia in Katowice (ul. Uniwersytet 4). On behalf of the University of Silesia, they are attended by Rector Prof. Ryszard Koziołek, who is the Vice-Chair of KRUP.
The meeting of the Conference of Rectors of Polish Universities was held for the first time in 1989. Representatives of Polish universities jointly develop and present opinions and positions on issues important for the development of Polish science, higher education, culture and education.
