Korean language courses at the King Sejong Institute in Katowice

You can now join the 2025/2026 summer semester Korean language courses at the King Sejong Institute in Katowice.

The King Sejong Institute offers courses for both those who are just starting their Korean language journey and those who would like to continue their language studies at higher levels. Anyone interested is welcome to participate.

Information on the offered classes:

  • period: from 23 February 2026 to 19 June 2026
  • classes: 2 x 90 minutes per week
  • number of course hours: 45 hours
  • course location: King Sejong Institute (ul. Bankowa 14, Katowice)
  • course fee: PLN 600 for continuing students; PLN 700 for new students at the King Sejong Institute in Katowice
  • class periods: 5.00 p.m. – 6.30 p.m. or 6.30 p.m. – 8.00 p.m.

The course concludes with a certificate issued by the King Sejong Institute.

In addition to participating in the course, each student will have free access to cultural events organised by the Institute.

New! In the summer semester of 2025/2026, we are offering a Sejong Introductory course (level ‘0’). The Sejong Introductory course is a more relaxed introduction to the Korean language. Students learn slowly, step by step, gaining familiarity with the language as well as building their confidence.

Those interested in Korean language courses are asked to complete and return a dedicated application form.

The King Sejong Institute Foundation is an agency of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, and its institutes are present in 88 countries worldwide. The aim of the King Sejong Institute in Katowice, which is run by the University of Silesia and Sungshin Women’s University in Seoul, is to promote the Korean language and to familiarise Poles with the specifics of Korean culture.
