University of Silesia in Katowice is involved in the organisation of global Brain Awareness Week already for the 11th time. From 15 to 19 March, there will be online popular science lectures focusing on brains, their development, origin and operation. The lectures will be broadcast on Facebook.
The event is to promote the knowledge in the field of neurobiology, cognitive science and psychology. It is addressed to students and all interested parties.

The event is organised by employees of the Institute of Biology, Biotechnology and Environmental Protection (Jacek Francikowski, Michał Krzyżowski, Bartosz Baran) and Sylwia Butkiewicz. The co-organiser of this year’s edition of the lectures is the Copernicus Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies of the Jagiellonian University.
