Teams representing cities and universities from all over the world, global technology companies and corporations – over 120 countries will take part in Global Game Jam, the biggest global live game development event, which will be held on 31 January – 2 February 2020. During this time, thousands of participants around the world will develop games and discuss subjects related to modern technologies. The initiative is addressed to game design students and other individuals specialised in this field.
Representatives of the University of Silesia will take part in the event, as in the previous years. This year, the participants of Silesia Game Jam will meet in the Rectorate of the University of Silesia (Katowice, ul. Bankowa 12, Kazimierz Lepszy Lecture Hall, 1st floor). The programme of the event includes e.g. live streaming of conferences and meetings dedicated to technological developments, as well as visual presentations, lectures and online streaming of Global Game Jam.
The most important item on the agenda will be the live connection of representatives of the University of Silesia with the main GGJ streaming channel. The transmission will include reports on the work progress of game development teams during Silesia Game Jam. It will also be an opportunity to share the achievements in our region and see the works of people even from the other end of the world.
