The University of Silesia in Katowice has introduced a new education model from the 2023/2024 academic year, which aims to prepare students for the challenges of the modern world. In the curricula of most 1st cycle degree programmes and long-cycle studies, field-specific education has been introduced to support specialised education. A total of 2,556 hours of classes will be held in 132 groups from 12 modules in 6 areas (digital world, creative expression and critical thinking, frontiers of science, civil society and entrepreneurship, natural environment and technologies, health and personal development).
Each student pursuing field-specific education will take part in 20 hours of workshop or project classes as part of a previously selected module during the project week, which, according to the schedule, is planned for:
- for full-time studies from 13 to 17 May,
- for part-time studies on 12 and 18 May.
During the project week, you will be able to acquire skills and competences and supplement your knowledge in the thematic areas previously identified during lectures.
The project week is also an opportunity to integrate all students on the Katowice campus. As the Breath Week that is a part of the European City of Science Katowice 2024 will take place at the same time, you can expect various interesting activities thematically related to breathing.
Detailed information about the project week can be found on the website of the College of General University Education.
