University of Silesia at New Mobility Congress 2025

The New Mobility Congress 2025 is the largest conference and EXPO dedicated to sustainable development in transport in Central and Eastern Europe. The event will be held on 23–25 September 2025 at the International Congress Centre in Katowice. Visitors can attend nearly 250 panels, talks and workshops, more than 20 premieres and 12,000 m² of exhibition space brimming with the latest technologies.

The New Mobility Congress will host a panel featuring rectors of the Academic Consortium – Katowice City of Science entitled ‘Bridging Science and Industry: A New Chapter for Poland’s Innovation Ecosystem’.

The University of Silesia in Katowice will be present amonb the exhibitors as well, and present its potential as part of the Green Science Zone. The Industry Cooperation Office will present research results and innovative solutions related to green and digital transformation, including:

  • Collaborative robots (cobots) – exploring the role of trust and communication in human-robot relationships and their impact on collaboration and conflict in the work environment.
  • Autonomous buses – research on the public perception of autonomous buses compared to traditional modes of transport, including passenger comfort, safety and emotions.
  • BIO POL-US Certification – a globally unique method for detecting impurities in solid biofuels.

The University of Silesia’s participation in the Congress is an opportunity to present research and solutions to support the transformation towards Industry 5.0, transport innovation and the development of renewable energy sources. The event’s full programme is available on a dedicated website.
