From 21 to 23 September, the 7th Congress of Polish Medievists will be held at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Silesia under the slogan “Multiculturalism of the Middle Ages. People and ideas”. The event is organised by the Institute of History of the University of Silesia and the Standing Committee of Polish Medievists.
The Congress will be an opportunity to exchange ideas between representatives of various disciplines: history, archeology, philosophy, art history and literary studies. Over two hundred speakers from Poland and over a dozen European countries will take part in the deliberations.
During the conference, distinguished representatives of Polish medieval studies will be honored. The Lux et Laus medal will be presented to the director of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Prof. Wojciech Fałkowski. The jubilee book will be given to Prof. Leszek Słupecki.
