The Institute of Journalism and Media Communication at the University of Silesia in Katowice is organising a webinar hosted by Prof. Darren Lilleker from the Bournemouth University entitled „Political communication in an international perspective: Current trends and developments”. The subject is the latest trends in international research on political communication. After the lecture, the guest will answer questions. The event will be held on Microsoft Teams in English.
Prof. Darren Lilleker is a renowned international researcher of political communication, acclaimed by BBC as “the man who watches Westminster”. His research concerns the professionalisation, market mechanisms and strategic development of political communication, as well as its impact on the citizens’ involvement. He has focused e.g. on the analysis of local election campaigns and the relations between the candidate’s use of Internet and the support they received.
