On 6 May 2025, at 1 p.m. in the building of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Silesia (ul. Grażyńskiego 53), in the Pieter Lecture Hall, an open lecture will be held presented by Mònica González-Carrasco, PhD. The lecture is entitled ‘Challenges for socially relevant participation of children and adolescents: implications for their subjective well-being’.
Mònica González-Carrasco, PhD is a Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Girona (Catalonia, Spain), co-coordinator of the research team on childhood, adolescence, children’s rights and their quality of life, and researcher at the Quality of Life Research Institute.
Her research focuses on the subjective well-being of children and adolescents and children’s right to social participation. She is involved in Children’s Worlds, the International Survey of Children’s Well-Being (ISCWeB) which aims to collect reliable and representative data on children’s lives and daily activities, how they spend their time and in particular their own perceptions and assessments of their well-being.
