On Saturday, 25 September 2021, the Dydo Poster Gallery in Kraków (ul. Focha 1) will hold an exhibition following the international Lemland 2021 poster competition dedicated to the famous writer Stanislaw Lem. The exhibition will present posters in printed form by artists chosen by the jury in the preselection of the competition (preselection results).
The Lemland 2021 competition was created to celebrate declaring 2021 as the year of Stanisław Lem. The aim is to promote the works of the author of “Solaris”. The participant’s task was to create a poster relating directly to the writer, his literature and its numerous adaptations (not only on film), and to interesting issues related to our future.
The competition is organised by: the Pedagogical University of Krakow, the University of Silesia in Katowice, Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE, University of Ostrava, China Europe Design Culture Association (CEIDA), and Dydo Poster Gallery. The coordinator of the project is Marcin Urbańczyk, PhD, from the Institute of Graphics and Design in the Department of Visual Communication of the Pedagogical University of Krakow, graduate of the University of Silesia.
