The 12th edition of the popular science event entitled Biologists’ Night will take place on Friday, 13 January 2023, at the Institute of Biology, Biotechnology and Environmental Protection of the University of Silesia in Katowice. This year’s edition is organised under the slogan ‘Water — the source of life — present and future’.
The event will begin with an opening lecture entitled ‘Biological waste water treatment’ at 3 p.m. in the lecture hall at ul. Bankowa 9. The participants will also have the opportunity to take part in a series of meetings with scientists working at the Institute, organised as popular science workshops, lectures, and discussions.
The lectures will be delivered from 4 p.m. to 5.20 p.m. in both Institute buildings at ul. Bankowa 9 and ul. Jagiellońska 28. Feel free to participate in various workshops, science shows, presentations, and an exhibition taking place from 5 p.m. to 9.15 p.m. Games, quizzes and contests with numerous attractive prizes for children and young people will be run at the same time. Many activities do not require previous registration.
