Experience the history of Polish Himalayan mountaineering like never before! The Golden Decade of Polish Himalayan Mountaineering is a unique time in which Poles defined world standards in Himalayan mountaineering, set new, most difficult routes to eight-thousanders and became the precursors of winter Himalayan mountaineering.

The event, which will take place on 25-26 May 2024 in the City of Gardens in Katowice (Plac Sejmu Śląskiego 2, room 211 and concert hall), aims to celebrate Polish successes in global Himalayan mountaineering and look at this phenomenon from different perspectives.

The event will include meetings with mountaineers, workshops, film screenings, lectures on the history of mountain climbing and the efficiency of the human body, and discussions on the Golden Decade of Polish Himalayan Mountaineering. During the event, you will be able to purchase books and other products of the Wielki Człowiek (Great Man) Foundation at a discount price, and you will also have the opportunity to obtain autographs from invited guests.
