The conference ‘Open Knowledge: Wikimedia & Research in the CEE Region’, organised by the University of Silesia in Katowice, Wikimedia Poland and Wikimedia Ukraine, took place on 9–10 October.
The event brought together members of the academic and educational communities, as well as the Wikimedia community, creating a space for the exchange of knowledge, experiences and best practices in the field of open science and the dissemination of knowledge.
The conference programme included academic and practical presentations, panel discussions and workshops, during which participants had the opportunity to share experiences, present ongoing projects and forge new connections.
The meeting represented an important step towards strengthening interdisciplinary and international cooperation, as well as building lasting relationships between the world of academia and professional practice.
