New Workroom for Database and Data Analysis for IT Students at USil Faculty of Science and Technology

The official opening of our fresh computer workroom at the Faculty of Science and Technology in Sosnowiec took place on 31 March. The workroom has been created particularly for students of computer science.

Modern workstations, powerful computers and a space ideal for learning and projects, all that to provide the possibly best conditions for acquiring knowledge and fostering a passion for technology.

The workroom has been created thanks to the support of Keywords Studios. Keywords Studios was present during the opening, represented by Emilia Kubiec – administration manager; Julia Omyła – expert for administration; and Aleksander Adamski – senior recruiter.

The opening was attended by: Agnieszka Kotulska, MA – USil Vice-Chancellor; Rafał Doroz, PhD, DSc, Assoc. Prof.; and Beata Zielosko, PhD, DSc, Assoc. Prof. – Deputy Director of the Institute of Computer Science; Barbara Marszał–Paszek, PhD – Director of the degree programmes in Computer Science and Applied Computer Science; Agnieszka Nowak–Brzezińska, PhD, DSc, Assoc. Prof. – Deputy Dean for Research and Promotion, as well as students and employees of the Institute of Computer Science.

 

The modern workroom for Faculty’s students and employees is equipped with:

  • modern high-performance computers – 15 workstations,
  • professional software for programmers and IT engineers,
  • space contributing to teamwork and innovative projects.

The opening ceremony featured a side lecture addressed to students called ‘Is it difficult to pursue a career in AI? Let’s explore the opportunities in this fascinating field and dive into the world of video games.’ The lecture was delivered by Aleksander Adamski from Keywords Studios.
