The call for applications for the Silesian Scientific Award 2024 at the University of Silesia launched on 29 May. We would like to encourage you to nominate yourself or other people who contribute in a significant manner to the development and promotion of Silesian science at home and abroad. The award may be granted for a lifetime of achievements or for achievements accomplished in the 2 years preceding the year in which the award is presented.
Applications are accepted until 16 June (midnight) via a dedicated form (available in Polish and English).
The Silesian Scientific Award is awarded by universities co-organising the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE. People nominated for the Award are selected from among people working at universities or studying at doctoral schools in accordance with each university’s schedule and internal procedure. The awarded persons are selected by the Award Committee, which includes representatives of each university. The results will be announced during the 8th Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE.
