Centrum Badań nad Cyfrową Strefą Publiczną
The Centre was created as a response to the radical transformations taking place at the intersection of digital communication, politics, and religion. This is supported by the social context in which digital media and platforms are becoming a catalyst for the reconfiguration of the symbolic space known as the digital public sphere.
Central and Eastern Europe lacks an institution focusing on systematic research on the relationship between politics and religion in a digital context, making the University of Silesia particularly well-suited to fulfil this role. The Centre will promote the integration of researchers from various disciplines and backgrounds, offering a collaborative space and facilities for new grant application paths, seminars, and workshops, also available to social organisations.
