The latest Stanford Top 2% ranking, which includes researchers from around the world who have had the greatest impact on the development of science, features as many as 30 representatives of the University of Silesia.
The ranking, compiled by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier, takes into account both total scientific output (career) and achievements within a single year (single year). Twenty-one representatives of our University were included in the career ranking, while 18 were included in the single year ranking.

The Stanford Top 2% ranking is considered one of the most prestigious lists of scientific achievements in the world. It is based on an analysis of bibliometric data from the Scopus database and classifies scientific achievements in all fields of science according to a bibliometric index that takes into account criteria such as: the Hirsch index, number of citations (including self-citations), Impact Factor, position and role on the list of authors.
