On 8 March 2025, the Minister of Science and Higher Education announced the establishment of the Council for Women in Higher Education and Science. One of the members of the newly formed body is Aneta Trojanowska, Vice President of the Council for Higher Education and Science of the President of the Polish Teachers’ Association at the University of Silesia.
The new advisory board is to support gender equality measures in academia, analyse the situation of women in science and recommend solutions to improve their working conditions and career development in science.
The board is made up of 22 people, including female scientists and representatives of the academic community.
