The University of Silesia in Katowice has established international cooperation with the University of Miskolc (Hungary). The bilateral agreement for scientific-research and educational cooperation was signed in June 2020 by the Rectors of both universities. The agreement enables the universities to conduct research work, organise conferences, exchange academics and students, as well as carry out numerous educational initiatives together.
Dr Michał Barański, who is the coordinator of this cooperation, has been invited by the Hungarian university to jointly prepare a scientific study implemented within the framework of grant project no. EFOP-3.6.2-16-2017-00007 entitled ‘Aspects on the development of intelligent, sustainable and inclusive society: social, technological, innovation networks in employment and digital economy’. The project has been supported by the European Union and is co-funded by the European Social Fund and Hungarian budget.
On the other hand, researchers from Hungary will prepare scientific studies, which, after a positive review, will be published in scientific journal ‘Z Problematyki Prawa Pracy i Polityki Socjalnej’ (University of Silesia Press). Moreover, there are plans to organise joint scientific events in the field of labour law as part of the newly established cooperation.
