University of Silesia in Katowice

List of construction works related to the development of the Silesian Interdisciplinary Centre for Chemistry:

1. Continued reconstruction of the existing sewage network.
2. Continued reconstruction of the existing telecommunication network.
3. Continued reconstruction of the existing electrical network.
4. Continued reinforced concrete works involving the construction of the foundation slab and walls of the underground garage level (–1).
5. Commencement of works related to the reconstruction of the University of Silesia’s existing power supply system from 6 kV to 20 kV.
6. Commencement of piling works for the external walkways.
7. Commencement of construction of foundation slabs for the external walkways.
8. Commencement of steel structure works for the external walkways.

Identified and potential inconveniences during the construction works:

1. Reduced availability of parking spaces in the areas of ul. Moniuszki, ul. Bankowa, ul. Chełkowskiego and ul.
2. Restricted pedestrian and vehicle traffic within the Katowice campus, particularly in the areas of ul. Moniuszki and ul. Bankowa.
3. Vibrations associated with earthworks and reinforced concrete works.
4. Noise generated by earthworks and reinforced concrete works.
5. Dust resulting from earthworks and reinforced concrete works.
6. Temporary energy outages due to the reconstruction of the existing electrical network.
