Results of Call by Ministry of Science and Higher Education for Incubator Project Announced

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has qualified 11 consortia from around Poland to implement the task called ‘Inkubator Rozwoju’ [Development Incubator].

The maximum amount of PLN 12,600,000 was allocated to the consortium formed by:

  • University of Silesia in Katowice (PLN 3,000,000);
  • Silesian University of Technology (leader);
  • SPIN-US Sp. z o.o. – USil special purpose vehicle (PLN 3,000,000);
  • Wrocław University of Economics. 

‘Inkubator Rozwoju’ is carried out within the ‘Science4Business – Nauka dla Biznesu’ project, implemented as part of Action 2.5 under the European Funds for a Modern Economy Programme.

Its goal is to increase the efficiency of research organisations in terms of collaboration with businesses and commercialisation of R&D results.

The actions planned within the project are to continue the improvement of innovativeness and entrepreneurship at the university by:

  • mapping the potential of research organisations;
  • marketing the technology and research offer;
  • carrying out industrial research and experimental development work;
  • giving access to knowledge and developing tools for teams involved in the technology transfer.

The project’s initiator and implementor at the University of Silesia is the Industry Cooperation Office.
