As the leader of the consortium of the project implemented under the “Innovation Incubator 4.0” programme, the University of Silesia announces the call for proposals for funding for the realisation of pre-implementation works.
Aim of the project
The project is carried out by a consortium composed of: the University of Silesia in Katowice, SPIN-US Ltd. (special purpose company of the University of Silesia), Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce. The aim of the project is to carry out a series of actions that will contribute to strengthening the cooperation between the scientific and business communities, preparation of commercialisation projects for research, intensification of technology portfolio management, and execution of pre-implementation works in order to commercialise them.
Participants
Project participants may only be employees of the University of Silesia or Jan Kochanowski University (under an employment relationship), and research and development teams which consist of at least one person that is an employee of the University of Silesia or Jan Kochanowski University, if they are the authors of scientific research and development work that may subject to commercialisation carried out by the University of Silesia, SPIN-US, or Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce.
The project can be also participated by PhD students of the University of Silesia, or Jan Kochanowski University, and students of full-time or part-time 1st cycle, 2nd cycle, or long-cycle studies. They apply to the project as authors of the results of scientific research and development works that can be commercialised by the University of Silesia, SPIN-US, or Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce.
Grants for pre-implementation works
The subject of the applications submitted under the admission process can only be the results of scientific research and development works that are entirely or partially owned by the University of Silesia or Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce. Support for the realisation of pre-implementation works under the project is aimed at increasing the technological readiness of the reported results of research or development works so that the result is a product ready for commercialisation and implementation.
The participants can apply for a grant of no more than PLN 100,000 for carrying out pre-implementation works. The condition for participation in the call for proposals is the submission of the application together with the cost estimate in accordance with the Regulations for the call for proposals admission process and granting support for the realisation of pre-implementation works.
The deadline for submitting applications in the first call: 12 May 2021.
