University of Silesia in Katowice

The project includes outdoor and indoor signage, campus maps, room numbering, and a comprehensive set of pictograms. The entire system was designed to remain consistent with the visual identity of the University of Silesia while ensuring clarity, functionality, and intuitive spatial communication.

The wayfinding system implemented in Cieszyn demonstrates the important role that well-designed solutions play in enhancing the quality of academic spaces. Combining functionality, clarity, and visual consistency with the university’s identity, the project now serves as an important reference point for the continued development of signage systems across other University of Silesia buildings. These improvements are being introduced in stages, with the shared goal of creating a more coherent spatial communication system while improving accessibility and the overall user experience across the university.
