After winning the Gold Medal at the Student Academy Awards in October 2025, the short film has a real chance of being among the top five live action short films nominated for the 98th Academy Awards, awarded by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The film is written by Jan Saczek, a student at Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at te University of Silesia.

Plot: Two underage brothers hide from the world the fact that their father suffers from frontotemporal dementia. They must take care of him and manage the household to stay together.
Nominations for the 98th Academy Awards will be announced on Thursday, 22 January 2026. The short list includes 15 short live action films, and the final five will compete to win the award that’s every filmmaker’s dream.
