Telekamera award for Jan Matuszyński, PhD.

During the 25th Telekamera Awards ceremony presented by the weekly magazine “Tele Tydzień”, the award in the category production of the year 2022 went to Jan P. Matuszyński, PhD, from the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School of the University of Silesia in Katowice for the film “Żeby nie było śladów”.

The script for the film is based on reportage ‘Żeby nie było śladów. Sprawa Grzegorza Przemyka’ produced by Cezary Łazarewicz. The reportage was awarded the Nike Literary Prize. The film won 3 awards at the 2021 Polish Film Festival in Gdynia.

Jan P. Matuszyński, PhD, is a feature and documentary film director and a lecturer at the Film School of the University of Silesia. His films that have also received honourable mention include “Ostatnia Rodzina” (2016) and Deep Love(2013). The director has also contributed to the series: “Król” (2020), “Nielegalni” (2018), and “Wataha” (2017).

The awards ceremony took place on 31 May 2022. The purpose of the event is to honour film productions that have gained recognition in the eyes of the audience.
