The University of Silesia in Katowice has been qualified in all 9 subject areas they applied to in the latest edition of the prestigious Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2025. It is a step forward compared to the last year when our University featured in 7 areas.
In the last edition, the University of Silesia made it to 7 subject rankings. These were: Arts and Humanities, Computer Science, Education Studies, Engineering, Law, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Psychology, Social Science. This year, the University featured in two subject areas more, i.e. Computer Science and Psychology.
THE WUR by Subject is the largest and most diverse university ranking of higher education institutions to date, developed by Times Higher Education – a leading ranking agency.
The Ranking uses a methodology based on 18 performance indicators categorised under five core pillars, considering: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry, and international outlook.
