The Golden and Silver Lions awarded

The 46th Gdynia Polish Film Festival has come to an end. The Golden Lions for Best Film was awarded to Fears/Wszystkie nasze strachy directed by Łukasz Gutt a graduate of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School of the University of Silesia in Katowice, and Łukasz Ronduda. Łukasz Gutt was also awarded for Best Cinematography.

The Silver Lions went to Jan P. Matuszyński Leave No Traces/Żeby nie było śladów directed by a graduate and lecturer of the Katowice film school, Jan P. Matuszyński, PhD. The film was produced by Leszek Bodzak and a graduate of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School, Aneta Hickinbotham.

During the festival, three other films directed by graduates of the Katowice film school were also appreciated. As a result of audience voting in festival cinemas, the Audience Award went to Bartosz Blaschke for Sonata. Aleksandra Terpińska was awarded in category Best Directorial Debut for Other People/Inni ludzie. The production of People Inni ludzie was also awarded for Best Editing and Best Actor. What is more, the film Hyacinth/Hiacynt directed by a graduate and lecturer at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School, Piotr Domalewski, was awarded for Best Screenplay and Best Makeup.
