Jestem anglistką, literaturoznawczynią. Ukończyłam filologię angielską na Uniwersytecie Śląskim w 1989 roku. Głównym obszarem moich zainteresowań badawczych są literatura i kultura brytyjska XVIII oraz kultura i literatura wiktoriańska, w tym twórczość Elizabeth Gaskell, Wilkiego Collinsa, Charlesa Reade’a.

I am an Assistant Professor in the Institute of Literary Studies, University of Silesia, Poland. My research interests cover British literature and culture of the 18th and 19th century, particularly social and cultural aspects of the Industrial Revolution. In my recent publications I examine texts of such writers as Elizabeth Gaskell, Wilkie Collins, or Charles Reade.
