Natalia Galica

Natalia Galica (MA, MSc, PhD Candidate)

 

Natalia is a graduate of the University College Dublin, Ireland and the University of Silesia in Katowice. She was a triple scholarship grantee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland [currently Ministry of Education and Science], the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship and the Landratsamt Enzkreise in Germany. She was also a studentship holder at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, the UK.

 

Currently, Natalia is a PhD candidate at the Doctoral School of the University of Silesia focusing on the transition of political science domain into open science paradigm and practice in Poland. She is also an Open Science practitioner, a data steward and a research data management trainer certified by the Data Steward School and the OpenAIRE. Currently, she works for the National Science Centre, Poland providing training support for the universities in data management and open access to publications. Previously, she was an Open Access Coordinator at the University of Silesia, where she created and coordinated the Open Science system and data steward community. She is also an OS expert in the projects funded within Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, Erasmus + and Digital Europe programmes.  Previously, she also worked for University College Dublin in Ireland, SWPS University of Humanities, Katowice City Hall.
