Five new projects under the ERASMUS programme

The selection process for the ERASMUS programmes has been completed. The total value of the funding received by the University of Silesia is approximately PLN 1.5 million.

Among the projects submitted, funding was awarded to:

1. Two projects from the ERASMUS MUNDUS path:

    • ‘The BIOPHAM II (BIO & PHArmaceitical Materials science)’ by Prof. Marian Paluch from the USil Faculty of Science and Technology.

The project is a continuation of joint international studies conducted by the University of Lille in partnership with the University of Silesia, the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, and the University of Pisa;

    • ‘Advanced Functional Materials for Energy Conversion’ by Dariusz Kajewski, PhD, DSc, from the USil Faculty of Science and Technology.

The aim is to prepare the content and formal aspects of a joint study programme. The University of Silesia is coordinating the project in cooperation with the University of Paris-Saclay, the University of Luxembourg, and the University of Aveiro;

2.  Three educational projects from the ERASMUS COOPERATION PARTNERSHIP IN HIGHER EDUCATION path:

    • ‘Experiments for better teaching in higher education – expEDU’ – leadership project by Dariusz Kajewski, PhD, DSc from the USil Faculty of Science and Technology;
    • ‘Breaking Echo-chamber And Reinforcing. Critical Thinking’ – leadership project by Katarzyna Sujkowska, PhD, Assoc. Prof., and Marta Margiel, PhD, from the USil College of General University Education;
    • ‘Foster Competencies on roots tourism to promote Sustainable tourism and destinations in Europe’ – a project submitted by Natalia Tomczewska-Popowycz, PhD, from the USil Faculty of Natural Sciences (the University of Silesia is a partner in the project).
