Scientists from the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Silesia in Katowice have developed a new method of creating PZT based ceramic material, which can be successfully used in the construction of various elements in microelectronics and micromechanics. The developed technological process allows for creating a piezoelectric ceramic with the addition of wolfram, manganese, antimony, and nickel that exhibits very good electro-physical properties. Moreover, it is less expensive than the classic method of creating PZT based ceramic material. The solution is protected by patents. The authors of the patent are: Dariusz Bochenek, PhD, DSc, Associate Professor; Przemysław Niemiec, PhD; Małgorzata Adamczyk-Habrajska, PhD, DSc, Associate Professor; and Beata Wodecka-Duś, PhD, DSc, Associate Professor.
