University Laboratories for Atmosphere Control (ULAC) obtained financial resources from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for the maintenance of scientific and research equipment (SPUB) for the years 2024–2026 in the amount of almost PLN 1.4 million.

The funds will be used to keep the ULAC Mobile Research Laboratories (located in a manned hot air balloon and on an off-road vehicle) ready to conduct research, as well as to maintain the equipment located in the Stationary Laboratories.

ULAC conducts research on air quality, as well as the sources and distribution of pollutants in the atmosphere. As a member of the ACTRIS consortium, it is included on the European Infrastructure Map and participates in international research projects. Moreover, there are efforts underway for it to be accepted into the EARLINET network.

The SPUB programme is intended to keep research infrastructure, unique on a national and European scale, ready to conduct research. The call for applications takes place once a year, and funding can be obtained for a maximum of three years.
