On 10 May 2011 at 12 o’clock another meeting in a series called “Around the World with the University of Silesia” will take place in the Institute of Mathematics, University of Silesia. This time the attendees will have an opportunity to get to know the culture and traditions of Georgia and Serbia.
The programme includes, among others, presentation of a legend of the creation of Georgia, a lecture on the history of Serbia, presentation of the most beautiful places Georgia and Serbia have to offer, and learning the languages of these two countries. Georgian and Serbian students will also tell the attendees about traditional dishes of their respective cuisines, and will organize homonym games.
The cycle of meetings, during which foreigners present their countries to Polish students and pupils, was launched in March. The action is organised and coordinated by theSchool of Polish Language and Culture at the University of Silesia.
