Faculty of Law and Administration moves up in the ranking by “Gazeta Prawna”

“Gazeta Prawna” daily published its 15th ranking of the best faculties of law in Poland. The Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia in Katowice placed 6th in the public higher education institutions category. It’s a big improvement for the Faculty of Law and Administration in comparison to last year’s ranking – we are up four places.

Criteria included:

  • staff,
  • quality and strength of education,
  • requirements and quality of graduates,
  • pass rate for legal apprenticeships.

A detailed analysis reveals that our faculty received high scores in the following categories:

  • in the quality and strength of education category, the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia scored 39 points, while the leader of the ranking, the Faculty of Law at the Jagiellonian University, received 40.5 points,
  • in the pass rate for legal apprenticeship category, the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia scored 6.6 points, while the second placed Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw scored 6.8 points and the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University scored 7.5 points,
  • in the requirements and quality of graduates category, our faculty received 19.75 points, while the fourth-ranking Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław, received 19.5 points and the second-ranking Faculty of Law at the University of Warsaw scored 21.25 points. The leader of the ranking received 24 points.
