On 24th February 2014, in Poland, took place the Board Meeting of Consortium PROGRES 3 (the Czech-Polish-Slovak academic network of 14 universities with the aim of generate a concentration of research and innovation capacities). University of Silesia is one of the members of the Consortium.
Meeting was hosted by Opole University of Technology. Representatives of 14 universities worked together on creation the joint plan of action for getting funds from the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme Horizon 2020.
During the meeting was formed thematic teams. Starting from April teams will work out actively on concrete projects leading to achieve common aims. As the result of a brainstorming session there appeared concepts to consider: logistics, eco-friendly use of energy and even research on hybrid vehicles.
