The journal of the University of Silesia ‘Environmental & Socio-economic Studies’ was included in the Journal Citation Reports 2023 and for the first time received the Impact Factor – 1.1. This resulted in the journal being included on the so-called Philadelphia list—a prestigious list of journals indexed in the bibliographic databases of the Institute of Scientific Information in Philadelphia.
The quarterly has been published since 2013. It publishes original and review research papers in natural and socio-economic sciences. Articles published in English are made available in the Open Access formula. The journal is currently included in over 40 indexing and abstract databases, including the Web of Science—Emerging Sources Citation Index and Scopus. The editors of the journal are Renata Dulias, PhD, DSc Assoc. Prof. (Editor-in-Chief), and Adam Hibszer, PhD, DSc, Assoc. Prof. (Managing Editor), from the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Silesia in Sosnowiec.
