Building F

Accessibility of the entrance to the building and control area

The building is labelled with an information board.

The main entrance on the side of the car park at ul. Paderewskiego does not require getting through different levels. The door is glazed, with a white contrasting door frame and labelling at the eye level. The door opens to the outside.

The side entrance to the building is located on the side of the academic campus. It requires going through the external stairs leading through steep hills of the campus. The stairs are equipped with multi-level handrails installed on both sides, which were extended outside the stairway.

The side entrance leads to the 1st floor of the building.

Accessibility of corridors, stairs and lifts

The building is two-storey, without a lift.

The central staircase in the first section has twisting stairs, but the external handrail is two-level and extended outside the stairway. The corridors are broad and spacious.

Types of adjustments inside the building

The building is monitored, and the security employees are willing to provide help.

There are toilets: male, female and for the disabled at all levels of the building.

The toilet with facilities for individuals with disabilities has a door with a width of 90 cm; manoeuvring space with a radius of 1.5 m; the holders are located on both sides of the toilet bowl and the washbasin.

The building is fitted with tactile maps. Copies of the tactile maps, allowing blind people can to orient themselves in space, are available from the accessibility coordinator – Magdalena Bełza-Gajdzica, PhD.

Room F.11B is a quiet room, accessible to students who need to disconnect from an excess of stimuli. The building is fitted with equipment to assist in the evacuation of people with disabilities.

Parking places designated for persons with disabilities and exploitation thereof

The parking spaces designated for persons with disabilities are located near the entrance to the building.

Parking there is free of charge and allowed only for authorised individuals with parking cards for people with disabilities. The parking card should be placed behind the windscreen of your vehicle.
