Accessibility of the entrance to the building and control area

Entrance to the Student Residence Hall building is marked with a red board with the inscription saying ‘Uniwersytet Śląski, Dom Asystenta nr 5 w Sosnowcu’.

The main entrance to the building is located at ul. Lwowska 8, near the Faculty of Natural Sciences. The faculty is located at ul. Będzińska, on the northern side of the Student Residence Hall, approximately 500 m away. There are two steps in front of the entrance courtyard that can be skipped through the side ramp.

The entrance to the building with a ramp for wheelchairs is located on the left side of the building.

The building has two emergency exits, which cannot be normally used to access the building.

Upon entering the building, on the right side, there is a reception desk opened 24 hours a day. The reception desk window is located at a height of 93 cm.

In order to enter the building hall, you have to open the second door. The door with a door closer is opened by a receptionist.

Accessibility of corridors, stairs, and lifts

The building is five-storey. On the ground floor, there is a porter’s lodge, toilet, utility rooms and administration offices. On one storey there are some level lowerings which can be seen in the photo.

There is no lift in the building.
